Chris Cole worked with Architects Pacific on Laucala, as the Regional Project Architect responsible for architectural management and documentation of the €150 million construction on behalf of London-based architects Wimberley Allison Tong and Goo.
The private resort development includes 23 accommodation villas, 5 special guest villas, various recreational lounges, bars, spas, restaurants and airport facilities for three private jets and two helicopters. The design incorporates many traditional building practices including; soga roof thatching, magimagi post to beam tie connections, volcanic rock walls and dogo stick balustrading and screening.,
